I can't recall if I did. review back on January 16, but here goes my LONG review. I stumbled upon Allied after going to a neighboring shop. That shop charges were ASTRONOMICAL. I drove off and called Allied and Don told me to come in, but there may be a wait. When I arrived my car was put on the lift within minutes. Later, Chris told me there was a leak and the approximate cost. He recommended waiting an monitoring the leak to see if the leak requires a lot of oil. He topped my oil and I wrote down the mileage(125,796). This was again on January 16th. He advised there would be no charge, but I felt bad taking his time and quart of oil. Again, Chris said not to worry. I went home and told my Dad, I trusted this guy because he could have easily said you need to fix and it's going to cost XYZ dollars. Now, to some, this may be bad but I didn't view this as such. He literally said he didn't want me to spend the money if it was not necessary at that moment. During that time I forget to go back. I drove the care but not as much. On 3/6/2026, I went back to Allied with my mileage bing 127,129. I saw Chris and reminded him of our conversation. Told him I forgot but had not been to anyone else. He then checked my oil, taking the tie to make sure I knew how to check it moving forward. He stated there was only about 1500 miles driven and added one quart and half to the oil. Again, Chris said, he really wasn't worried but to check the oil and see how much needs to be added and write down the mileage. We chatted about the weather and then I told him I had no AC, since the vehicle was blowing hot air.(It was 83 degrees in Georgia on this day). Chris check the antifreeze, changed some little thing in it, and cleaned around so we could see if there was any leaks. He added antifreeze as well. When completed, I offered to pay and Chris declined. I apologized for taking his time and using his supplies. Chris was EXTREMELY pleasant. During the 30 minutes I was at Allied, I learned more about Chris. Chris and Allied Works are dependable, trustworthy, not money hungry, family people. He loves working on family cars and owns a body shop right across the street. I appreciate everything he did for me and being so humble. I literally told him I would have to bring my other vehicle to him to evaluate and fix, because I did not trust the person that fixed it previously, The Shop ATL in Jonesboro.
