DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS GUY. I was referred for a transmission seal leak on my 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo to John Herzler and was quoted $5k for it. Well he takes the engine and transmission out and stated the transmission needs to be repaired. Ok but then states that coolant lines and the turbos are leaking. I wanted him to repair the spoiler that doesn’t go up with a switch inside and at 75 mph. I was quoted $23k and eventually charged $26.8k. On the day I’m picking up the car the spoiler is not working! I’m upset and he instead of calming me down asks me to “chill out” and wanted to keep the car for additional time and money……..WTH! BTW my car has been at his shop for almost two months now. I seriously doubt he’s even done the work! I swear it’s hard to find trustworthy shops. I’m not going to throw the whole profession under the bus but this guy is a ripoff. There’s no real way of unfortunately me finding out if he’s truly done what he’s saying. It’s not like my car drove bad or different. Drives exactly the same and the spoiler still doesn’t work😡…..unscrupulous mechanic who should not be trusted.
