This is a pre-service post just to let you know how my first meeting went. First impression was "Wow" the location was so clean! The owner was there, we spoke for about 30 min about what I needed, what I needed to do for overnight drop off. I have a 2008 Mercedes Benz CLS550 that needs a schedule C service. Rick's Automotive was highly recommended for my area Mableton/Austell by Google and a few other people I know. I received 2 reminders of my appointment. So far I'm pleased with my experience! I came in for brake pad replacement after hearing a constant squeal for weeks. They inspected everything and confirmed both pads and rotors needed attention. The mechanic showed me the wear level before starting work, which made me trust the recommendation. The repair was completed in a few hours and the braking feels much sharper now. No more noise or vibration when stopping. They also cleaned the wheels before handing the car back, which was a nice touch. Pricing was fair compared to other quotes I had received, and there was no pressure for unnecessary upgrades or add-ons.

I wanted to like my experience here, especially because I chose this shop based on positive reviews. I brought my car in for rear wheel bearings, a tire sensor fix, and an engine pressure wash to check for leaks. Since the repair, I’ve noticed a clicking noise that wasn’t there before. The staff were very communicative and honest about what I needed to pass emissions, which I appreciated. I also take responsibility for approving the repair estimate before they proceeded. That said, the total cost of $1,470 felt significantly higher than average for the work performed. Given the age of my car (2013 Ford Fiesta with 202k miles) and their diagnostic charges of $169 per part, this level of pricing isn’t sustainable for me. I’ve since found that similar repairs could be completed elsewhere for several hundred dollars less. Overall, this seems like a trustworthy and responsive shop, but in my experience, the pricing was more in line with a dealership than an independent repair shop.

Rick and his team are wonderful. They had quite a few things to fix on my car and they did it in a timely manner. Also, they kept me aware of if I had to wait on parts or when I could pick it up once I did get my car he wanted me to bring it back just so he could check it again and make sure it was still doing well. I don't think I've ever had a repair place offer to do that. It has run great ever since and I highly recommend Rick and his team
