B&E 24hr Mobile Automotive Repair

I’ve spent the last couple of days trying to decide whether I even wanted to write this review, because I understand how hard independent mechanics work and I know everybody runs behind sometimes. But there is a difference between “running behind” and treating people with absolute disrespect after taking their money... Brandon... What happened here was not professionalism. It was chaos, excuses, disappearing acts, and complete disregard for my family’s time and situation. I hired B&E 24hr Mobile Automotive Repair to work on my late mother-in-law’s Mercury Marauder while my wife is actively grieving her mother and handling probate. We drove four hours expecting what was presented as a straightforward repair so we could handle family business and get back home with our son. Instead, this turned into a two-day hostage situation built entirely around one man’s inability to manage his own schedule honestly. We were told 1–2 hours. Then another hour. Then another. Then another. He did not show up until almost 4:00 PM. After finally arriving, he worked on the car for a while, accepted the full $1,000 upfront before completion, then left claiming he was making a “quick” AutoZone run and would be “right back.” That “quick trip” turned into an entire night of excuses and shifting timelines while my family sat around wondering whether this guy was actually coming back or whether we had just made a very expensive mistake. At one point, after already wasting the entire day, we were asked to leave our gate unlocked and leave keys accessible overnight. Absolutely not. Your response does not address the main issue I raised. Whether the vehicle had prior issues, was involved in a wreck before I owned it, had low oil, or was purchased secondhand is irrelevant to the fact that another repair shop informed me the part installed on my vehicle was not the correct part for my specific model and that the original problem remained after your repair. The issue I complained about was the oil pressure-related problem that you stated had been fixed. After paying for the repair, the same issue continued, which is why I sought a second opinion. The second shop diagnosed the same problem and corrected it after I had already paid you for the work. Bringing up unrelated issues with the vehicle does not change the fact that I paid for a repair that did not resolve the problem. If you believe the part installed was correct, then the fact remains that the repair was unsuccessful and I incurred additional expenses to have the issue properly diagnosed and repaired elsewhere. I simply asked for reimbursement for the part I paid for because I had to pay again to correct the same issue. Instead of addressing that concern, you’re pointing to unrelated conditions of the vehicle that do not explain why the original problem remained after your repair.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel it’s necessary to share my experience. I reached out multiple times regarding an issue with my vehicle after having an oil pressure solenoid valve replaced. I was told the problem was fixed, but after driving the car, the issue was still present. I attempted to contact him several times with no response and no returned calls. Eventually, I took the vehicle to another shop, and they immediately identified the problem. The issue they diagnosed was the same one he claimed to have repaired. They also informed me that the part installed on my vehicle was not the correct part for my specific model. I reached out to ask if he could at least compensate me for the incorrect part I paid for, while keeping the labor cost, but that was not resolved. As a result, I had to spend additional money to have the correct repair completed after already paying for the initial work. I’m very frustrated by this situation, especially since I missed work for several days trying to get the issue resolved, only to find out the wrong part had been installed on my vehicle. If he had simply taken responsibility and compensated me for the mistake, I would have continued doing business with him in the future if needed. However, paying for something to get fixed and it was not repaired properly is a huge slap in the face.

This guy I would say has a very unorthodox way of conducting business however This MAN did what needed to be done and DID NOT stop until he got my vehicle up and running the same night as promised! I called him on a Sunday at 7pm when most business are enjoying Sunday dinner at home but this guy to my surprising was readily available and delivered as promised! He is dedicated to the work he does! He worked effortlessly for 4 hours in the freezing cold nose running and all. But still he made sure he got the job done! Thank You sir!! I am ALMOST SURE you will be hearing from me again

I would recommend Brandon Avila who saved the day for me, to anyone needing a mobile mechanic. Brandon came right out to my home at the end of the day and on such short notice! He quickly diagnosed the problem. As a woman I felt as though he was not taking advantage of me with the costs because he showed me what was wrong during the diagnostic.
