Went by today around 2:00 PM today Wednesday 01/21/2026 and as soon as I pulled in the guy came running out of the building and started waving me away. What a rude person. I have been going to this location for years, but I won’t be going back to this one. The state makes us use these locations and they should be held accountable for this type of behavior. I will be contacting my state representative, not that it will do any good.
View on GooglePrior to heading to the Hiram location I verified the hours of operation. The website stated they were open until 4pm. I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing. The person running the location said he was testing his last car for the day and closing prior to the stated 4pm closing time. When I asked if he was the owner, he began to use obscene language in telling me it did not matter. It is said that we are forced to use such place without any type of recourse when the employees are extremely rude.
View on GoogleI’ve gone here for my emissions the last few years and usually have a great experience. However, the inspector I had in June, Thomas, made me really uncomfortable. He made several jokes/comments that were creepy in my opinion. When he asked me to open the gas cap so that he could put whatever inspection thing in he said, “just like a man, always trying to get in!” When he put the sensor that goes down by the steering wheel in place, he sat on the edge of the door opening and said “if I touch you I don’t mean nothin by it, so don’t hit me too hard”. I’ve never had an inspector need to sit there before they usually drop down on a knee if they need a better view. The kicker for me was towards the end he told me to “smile, it’s a beautiful day!” If any one of these things happened, I could probably just brush it off, but combined, it was a lot. I don’t want another lady or teenage girl to be exposed to this guy, which is why I’m writing this review. I do think there are multiple inspectors that work here because when my husband went a couple weeks earlier, he had no issue and the guy he described was different.

View on GoogleQuick and easy, I was in and out in about 10 minutes. That being said, I’m pregnant and really did not enjoy having to sit there with my windows open while the guy performing the test smoked a cigarette. Super unprofessional!
