I haven't used Gowen in many years because it became too difficult to get my car in their shop and seen without waiting several days to get it on, and then a few more days to get it back. It just got too long and a local competitor is always able to get it in & out mist faster at pretty much to same competitive price. This service needed is something that few people locally do, but Gowens does so I used them again. Dropped off Tuesday before closing. They didn't get it in the shop until Thursday. They diagnosed the problem and recommended that I buy the part (aftermarket) I received the part on Friday and dropped it off before closing. They installed it on Monday ( closed on the weekend) and I got my SUV back around noon on Monday. Not too bad this time around. I would like to have had it all done and back by Friday considering they are closed on the weekend, bit that's how it worked out. The quality of work was very good

Gowens on Dodd St is the BEST!! I love Mama... and the mechanics know exactly what they're doing and are HONEST about the findings. I always refer people to them because they are TRUSTWORTHY. They are my go-to for any car problems. Recently I went to them because a AAA tech told me I had an alternator problem... after a diagnostic test at Gowens there wasn't anything wrong and I was only charged (very reasonably) for the diagnostic tests. They really are the BEST!

View on GoogleBMW of South Atlanta told me they couldn’t perform my oil change because the threads were supposedly stripped and quoted me around $3,600 for a new oil pan. I took my car to Gowen’s for a second opinion, and their tech inspected everything carefully and found no issue with the threads and completed the oil change. Everyone I encountered was nice, professional, and courteous throughout the process. It’s reassuring to know there are honest, knowledgeable mechanics, and shop owners who genuinely look out for their customers. Highly recommend Gowen’s for their integrity and professionalism.
