RW general automotive and tires

This morning, I brought my car in due to my Cylinder 3 and 4 misfiring. When I called to make an appointment, they told me they could fit me in today, and to ask for “Bryan/Brian” when I get there. When I pulled in, Bryan was already outside working on another car and spoke with us. When we told him the situation, we asked for a cost estimate in which he told us “$280.” Perfect. When we got the call the car was almost done, we asked for the total, in which they told us “$659.” They told us the jump in charge was because they started with the $280 spark plug replacement, but that didn’t fix the issue, so they went ahead and replaced the ignition coils, which brought it up to almost $700. All while there was ABSOLUTELY NO communication whatsoever. I understand you need to do what you need to do to fix the car, but no one called us to ASK if that’s what we wanted to do and tell us what extra it would cost. The ONLY reason I gave two stars is because the tall man (I guess he’s the owner) took over almost $100 off our invoice for the inconvenience. However, he told us he didn’t really know the situation, yet he was the one who told us to talk to Brian. All in all, the business and communication was RIDICULOUS. I’m grateful for the fixing of my car, but I will absolutely never come back. If you want to go somewhere with good communication and HONEST work, go to RPM Auto Specialist in Douglasville, GA.

I took my car to this shop today and had a very disappointing experience. The technician pointed out several things he claimed needed to be fixed, but many of them had nothing to do with the issue I came in for or the vehicle's ability to operate properly. In my experience, this shop is really only useful for tire services. Even then, the prices seem high compared to other places, and the service is much slower than expected. Unfortunately, I left feeling like I was being upsold on unnecessary repairs rather than getting straightforward advice. I won't be returning. PS: that you car to another place like RPM thats 2 miles down the street!

I had a very good experience at RW General Automotive. I brought my Toyota 4Runner because the brakes were making a loud noise every time I was driving and stopping. It was very annoying and also worrying for me. Before coming here, I went to a few different technicians but nobody really fixed the problem. A friend recommended this shop to me and I am very happy I decided to try them. The team checked my car quickly and explained that the brake noise was coming from worn brake parts and dust build-up around the brake system. I don’t remember all the technical details, but Brian explained it in a clear and honest way and made me feel comfortable. I left my car there and only a few hours later they called me to say everything was done. After that, the brake noise was completely gone and the car feels much better and safer to drive. While I was there, I also asked about changing my tires because they were getting old. They offered me a very good deal, so I decided to replace all 4 tires at the same time. I really appreciated that they did not pressure me, they just explained my options and let me decide. Brian was the person who took care of me and my car, and he was professional, friendly, and respectful. The service was fast, efficient, and honest. I truly recommend RW General Automotive to anyone who needs car repair or maintenance. They did a great job for me and I will definitely come back again.

Today I had R&W replace both of my Head light bulbs. In addition he topped off my fluids and charged me 40 bucks. I appreciateted the fast and professional service. Night driving is safe again.
