I called for a coolant flush thinking I was due for one. Randy explained the timing of coolant flush maintenance to me and said I didn’t need one yet, despite this being a loss of business for him. I really appreciated his honesty and communication, hard to find these days!
View on GoogleIs there such a thing as an "honest mechanic?" Most people don't normally think so. I was given the recommendation to take one of my vehicles to Randy at Modern Auto by a family member. I was complaining about the auto repair place that is literally next door to my house. I took my truck there to have some work done and I was treated like nothing but a number. The receptionist was fine, but I asked the two guys behind the counter if they were the owners, and they grunted at me and seemed put out they had to talk to a customer. I spent about $3k with them. They did ok on the work, but I won't go back because if I feel like they don't care about me as a person and customer, I will go somewhere else. Modern Auto is an hour from me. Randy took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my vehicle, and what he recommened be done, and also what didn't need to be done. He treated me like he cared about my business, me vehicle, and me as a person. I ended up driving back over to have him work on another vehicle for me. Excellent work, good price, good for their word, responsive and communicate well. I left their business with a smile on my face because I was reminded what it is like to go to a place that cares about you..... I highly recommend Randy, Nate and Modern Auto. View on GoogleNo customer service! Went to garage and asked a good time to bring in and wait for tune-up. Was told to be there the next week 1st thing. They opened after 9:00 AM and was then told "had lots of cars dropped off the day before, would be 3-4 hours wait" so don't bother making arrangements - they don't honor their word!

View on GoogleThere was huge disconnect between their phone number and what they could actually do for me. I called a week ago and the woman said I can drop my car off monday March 10th. So I took off time from work to bring it in so I could pay a diagnostic fee to get it looked at. I get to the place on Monday and I find out it's closed. Nobody gave me a heads up. I went in the next day when they were open and the guy at the desk said they don't work on European cars. He was at least cordial and helpful in pointing me to a place where I could get my car worked on. But I wasted time, energy, and money even calling this place from the start. Get someone who's actually helpful to answer the phone.
