Joey Watkins Tire & Automotive

Went in for a free alignment check and they told me there was all kinds of stuff wrong with my car that was not wrong with my car because I had recently replaced most of it. Took it to my mechanic. He did the alignment. Everything's fine. Wanted me to replace my upper control arms and upper ball joints when I have a camber kit from truheart on my car and my camber was perfectly spot on when they checked it. Told me my rack and pinion had a lot of play in it. It doesn't!!! Personally, I feel that they only do free alignment checks to tell you the other things that are wrong with your car so that they can make more money! Not a very happy camper at the moment! This is after I've cooled down and gotten my alignment from my buddy! I am a very capable female!!! I'm the one who has done the parts replacements! They didn't know that ararently,! They wanted to charge me for a bit over a thousand dollars for parts I didn't need!!!

Very disappointed with my experience at Joey Watkins Dacula. Brought my 17 year old daughters car in because the check in engine was flashing and the vehicle was shaking. They diagnosed it and "fixed" it. When she picked it up and left the issue reappeared the second she left the lot. They tried to tell us that it needed spark plugs but their invoice just said "recommended". To me, recommended means in the future. I am sure they tell customers "We recommend a new air filter or a tire rotation" all the time. So if it was needed, why didn't they disclose that? Also they never test drove the vehicle after completing the "repair". If they would have, they would have found the misfire when the vehicle accelerates. But I am assuming the probably just idled it in the shop and found no issues. When I spoke with Isaac, he basically told me they let my 17 year old daughter leave the lot knowing the vehicle would not be able to run. What kind of service is that? Also, on the top of their invoice it has the phone number and email for Joey Watkins. I emailed him and have yet to receive a response. We have used this place many times and have not had issues before. It's sad to see how it is turning out and we will definitely not be back. Also the second place we took it to diagnosed a completely different problem, fixed the problem, and have had no issues since. I would think twice about using Joey Watkins in Dacula. Their expertise level and communication was extremely poor.

These guys have such a good feel for the business they're in. Informative, non-pushy, always fair. Their tire balance machine is so accurate and turn around is efficient. But I just love the guys in the front office. Customer service artists. So good!
