FREED Performance

I had a wonderful experience with Freed Performance from start to finish. When I had it towed to them, the alerts kept coming on that reduced the car’s acceleration, and made it scary to drive. They were able to figure out the issue with my dashboard ABS alert and get the sensors fixed, which gave me so much peace of mind. While they were working on that, they also noticed that one of my tires had started to dry rot, which was something I had completely missed. I really appreciated their attention to detail and the fact that they were looking out for my safety beyond just the original issue I brought the car in for. I also asked them to check and see if there were any other services my car might need to keep it in tip-top shape, and they were great about communicating everything clearly. They provided the estimate, kept me updated with follow-ups, and made the whole process easy and stress free. To top it all off, they delivered my car back to me, which helped me more than they probably realize. Not having to Uber with my handicapped wheelchair made a huge difference. Overall, this was a perfect experience for my car and myself. Freed Performance was professional, thoughtful, thorough, and genuinely helpful. I highly recommend them!

Had these guys do PDK transmission, spark plugs, engine coils, front + rear differential, transmission mount, and brake fluid flush on my Panamera Turbo. Totally seamless experience from detailed estimates to work done. It was like pulling teeth to get other shops to provide a detailed quote but these guys did it without even asking. Gave me a ride to a coffee shop nearby & picked me up since their lobby is under construction. These guys are actual Porsche experts unlike damn near every other shop out there. Porsche Service Center manager turned me onto them, said they were the only Indy Porsche shop they never had to fix work they did. It was a hour and 20 minute drive each way from where I live but super happy with the results. Give them a call and ask for Kevin.

The team is great as always! They did awesome work on my 992, this time in three them a curve ball with breaking away from German automotive. They did awesome great job on my C8 Corvette. Team is always professional and communicates great.

Visited 4 shops on my January birthday hoping to find a true home base for upgrades and service on my daily-driven, multi-purpose 2018 VW Mk7.5 Golf R, which has to balance family/work/errands with weekend track use and mountain twisties. FREED Performance clearly set itself apart, and I’m very satisfied with my decision to trust them with my car. Most of my communication was with Kevin, who I met on that first visit. He really listened to my goals, how I use the car, and what I needed it to do reliably for both performance and family life. I appreciated that he never pushed a pile of expensive upgrades. If anything, he challenged me to think critically about each mod and whether it truly made sense. That kind of honesty and restraint stood out immediately. Kevin also gave me a brief tour of the shop and the area behind the building where several customer builds and staff cars were parked. There’s something to be said about a European performance shop run by genuine European car enthusiasts, especially when they have firsthand ownership experience with your platform. That kind of experience shows up in the details illuminated via long-term ownership and not one-off "I see this particular platform in the shop every once in a while." I booked FREED for Haldex service along with a few bolt-on upgrades to improve cooling/IATs and add drivetrain/suspension rigidity and responsiveness. They also performed a thorough inspection, found a boost leak, addressed it, and completed additional repairs/replacements the same day. On top of that, Kevin took the time to answer my many questions both before and after the appointment and helped me think through downstream service items and future modifications. As for the service/upgrade work, Harry did a fantastic job on my Golf R. Zero complaints about the quality of installation. Everything felt careful, neat, thorough, and professional. The car came back feeling solid, shifting quicker and more decisively than it ever has, and turning with more precision and composure. It felt like Harry takes real pride in his work rather than just pushing cars through the shop. For context, I have about 20 years of experience owning and modifying cars and have worked with 7 different independent shops over that time, not including dealership service departments and factory-spec service shops. FREED is an outlier at the top of the curve. After this appointment, I can confidently say I’ve found a reliable home base for future service, repairs, and upgrades on my Golf R, and likely for my wife’s Tiguan as well. I value transparency, research/data-driven decision-making, and cost efficiency. FREED Performance delivered on all of that, and that’s what made this experience feel significantly different. Shout out to Kevin and Harry -- I hope their whole team knows how valuable of assets they are. My Golf R is finally FREED from compromise ;-)

I was not very happy with my 718 Boxster S sound or performance. I researched reputable shops in the area and settled on Freed Performance to help me remedy my concerns. I had quite a few modifications done both through my own research and their recommendations. I settled on a BMC Airfilter, Raggdoll Intake, Soul Intercooler, Soul high flow down pipes, APR Diverter, an additional Center Radiator, a Softronic ECU Tune along with an APR TCU transmission tune. Needless to say the car is simply amazing now. It sounds great and the performance improvement is amazing. Their workmanship was excellent and the price of installation was much more than reasonable. I also had maintenance done at 60k miles which included a coolant flush and transmission flush. I will do all my maintenance at Freed moving forward as they have all of the qualifications to perform work on Porsche products albeit at a lower cost per hour. They also only charge for hours worked as opposed to a book value that pretends to open the engine back up for every repair. I love them and I think you will too.
