I scheduled an alignment appointment on Friday for Monday and drove an hour for the scheduled time. When we arrived Monday, we were told the alignment technician could not complete the service because he already had another vehicle in the bay and that it was “first come, first serve.” This was confusing since we had a confirmed appointment. We were asked to return, but by Tuesday the same vehicle was still in the garage and our alignment still had not been completed. The biggest issue was the lack of communication between the front office and the shop. If appointments are not guaranteed, that should be clearly stated beforehand so customers do not waste time and travel unnecessarily. Very disappointing experience, especially after driving such a long distance.

So my wheels aren’t amazing or anything. But they also didn’t have any scratches. Some of these not all are pictured… are in places that wouldn’t get hit normally. Let’s see what Fowler will do about this. Back story if you want to read. Yesterday I dropped my truck off at Fowler thinking the last place messed up my lug nuts (they called me and I had to come use my tools to help the guy I was paying to get the broken lug nut off.) so I’ll give Fowler a try. This morning I go out and notice a bunch of blue crud on my wheels no worries it’s just the lube to get the tires on. Normally shops clean this off but whatever I needed to wash the truck anyway. Then I notice the scratches lots of scratches.

I have a set of beadlocks I needed just the back bead put over the wheels, that's it. I figured an old school tire shop like Fowler that deals with truck tires and tractor tires could handle this, apparently I was wrong. They wouldn't do them while I waited because he said the tires were too hard and needed to soften up in the sun, so I said I would leave them. I explained to him how to do it, as I was leaving he said "yep, mount and balance, got it" so I told him again "no mounting, just walk the rear bead on. You should not be able to put air in them if done correctly." I called after lunch to see how they were doing and he told me they still couldn't get them to seat so they were sitting in the sun warming up. Again, I told them they should not be putting air in them, and they needed to just walk the front bead back off the wheel. He said "yeah, yeah, got it" When I showed up they had all 4 seated with air in them, exactly how I told them not to do it. I tried to get them to correct it and they refused, stating that "this is the only way tires mount". I know it can be done I explained, I had it done with my old tires on these same wheels. I still had to pay them for their incorrect service, and now I have to take them to another shop and pay again to have it done correctly. I will not be using Fowler ever again, and I will recommend to everyone I meet to steer clear of them.
