Chevrolet of Canton Service

I Took my vehicle in for a familiar issue with the make and model I own, and mentioned that my car had a shudder. My car also had a recall on it that I needed fixed. They " diagnosed" my car and quoted me almost 11,000 dollars. I knew this seemed insane, as my car has less than 100,000 miles and is very well maintained. I had been researching this particular issue, so knew that It wasn't an 11,000 dollar fix. They also suggested I trade my car in at this point .I refused the service and went and picked up my car the next morning. I contacted another Chevy dealership and let them know what I wanted fixed and how the previous dealership quoted me 11,000. This new dealership quoted me 1400 dollars. The new dealership fixed my car within a few hours, and my shudder was gone and all of my other issues related to the thermostat being stuck open. This dealership is not knowledgable of the cars they sell nor the bulletins that chevy puts out for specific makes and models. My model had issues with the thermostat being stuck open and shudders that are caused from this very issue. I also needed a transmission flush which was never offered. This dealership is terrible. Upon arriving at this dealership, the energy of the service center was dull. Nobody seemed happy, everyone had dull personalities and I felt very un welcomed. I will never return. This dealership tried to take advantage of me and essentially rob me blind of 11,000 dollars. Thank God I got a second opinion! My car is running beautifully!!!! Avoid this service center at all costs!

Great communication, quick service and a great attitude. I previously had a terrible experience but this time made up for it. You can tell they are doing things differently and it makes a difference. I went from not wanting to use their service department, to being required to use the service department for a warranty issue and now, they are top of my short list when I buy my next car. Great job.

A word of warning for all service customers: if you get Samantha F. as your service advisor, go ahead and find a different service center. On 9-15, we scheduled an appointment for 9-22. They're busy, so we understand the delay on the appointment, that's completely reasonable. What isn't reasonable is everything that occurred after. We dropped off our vehicle the evening of 9-21, with the expectation that they will at least diagnose the issue during our scheduled appointment time. We didn't hear anything on Monday, so we gave her a call on Tuesday. She had no update for us, and said she would call us back soon. Hours later, she calls back simply to say that there is still no update. We call her back Wednesday, left messages for her, a couple people in other departments within the center tried to help us get ahold of her, and hours go by just to receive the same update: there is still no update. Fast forward to Friday, they have finally taken a look at our truck and determine that we have faulty glow plugs (note that pluralization here.) She told us that it should be done by Friday night, Monday am at the latest. We try to get ahold of her Monday morning, and it got to the point where I had to ask another person, in a different department yet again, for an update on my truck. Samantha finally calls back just to say that the truck is almost ready, and that I should be able to pick it up at the end of the day. I told her that we would pick it up around 1pm, and to have Jason, her manager (A name I had to discover from the other departments we spoke to) to give me a call. I show up to pick up my truck, only for a different advisor to tell me that is only 1 glow plug. $891 for 1 glow plug. Not the multiple plugs that Samantha had implied. And the kicker here is that Jason claimed to have no knowledge that I was ever waiting on a call from him. They had my truck for 8 days, no offer of a loaner, they didn't even look at it until the 5th day, and gave us little to no information the whole time. They should have diagnosed it on Monday, Tuesday at the latest, so I could've determined then if I would be going forward with the repair. Instead, they delayed us, lied to us, and in the end, cost us over 3 times what they should have. The parts were $39, the rest went to the labor that I seriously doubt they ever performed. We will never return

Big shoutout to Sam Penney for going above and beyond helping me with my truck situation. Solid dude, kept it real the whole time, and made sure I was taken care of. Great customer service and definitely earned my respect. Appreciate you again fr!

No communication. Was told they’d have my truck for a day and they ended up having it for three days. I get my truck back and there’s a scratch on my fender they claimed was already there. Not to mention the warranty work is still not finished due to a back ordered part I was not told about. Like I said, poor communication.
