I’m writing this for the people who actually take the time to read reviews. I grew up in the area and used Ronnie’s Transmission several times over the past 20 years—he was the go-to guy back then. I’ve heard the business has since changed ownership, but I still decided to give them a shot. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good experience. I was quoted $3,800 for a transmission repair. After getting a second opinion from Maddawg Transmission, I received a quote that was $1,100 less. Do yourself a favor shop around before committing. It could save you a significant amount of time and money.

My car is back on a warranty job that wasn’t done right the first time. Now it’s been almost 5months of nothing but excuses! A year and a half total I’ve been without my car. I’ve worked on cars all my life so no game can be ran on me. I’m bout to get lawyers involved soon. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!

Ronnie's was great! They rebuilt the transmission in my Chevy Impala and it drives smooth as hell now! I've seen some complaints here about this shop taking several weeks to rebuild a transmission. I'm sorry, but that kind of work takes a long time and is meticulous and time consuming. It's basically the most complicated component of any vehicle. Not to mention that car part supply chains are very screwed up right now, as well as a technician shortage taking place in the United States. Their prices were very fair in my opinion. Plenty of other shops may have finished slightly faster, but the quotes I received from other transmission shops were nearly double the price, so I'd say it's worth it. Friendly service and patient enough to address all of my questions and concerns.
