My Civic had a transmission failure back in July 2025 and it’s been a long 6 months of repairs. I went the cheap route and got young mechanics and cheap towers to handle the car and I’ve been hit with long delays and mishandling of the towers further damaging the body and front axles. After a long grueling 4 months the new transmission was finally in the car and I went to a Honda Dealership on Thornton Road to reprogram the new transmission which they said the car still didn’t work so they did a $500 diagnostic just to say I need to cough up another $1800 dollar for a new PCM and installation plus reprogramming. At that point I said no and decided to go on Reddit to find the best Honda/Acura in GA. Upon my research I found Far East Motorworks and they gave me more than a fair price and did all the work in a timely manner and saved me thousands. They are the real deal and are true specialists when it comes to Hondas. My only regret is not going to them in the first place. I ended up wasting a lot of money dealing with amateur mechanics and sketchy towers. Trust me. Always go to “Far East MotorWorks when your car is in trouble! They’ll give you a more than fair price for their quality of work! Don’t cheap out like me end up flushing money !

So glad I found an honest mechanic for my CR-V! I was sure a CV joint needed replacing based on the vibration and rattle in my wheel well - and that I was looking at $1500 repair or more. Gordon called to tell me it was simply a lack of oil causing the timing belt to make the noise (and that I should stop trusting the "oil life" gauge in my car now that it's 10+ years old). So I wound up paying just $63 - after full inspection, a couple of test drives, and an oil change. So happy I found these guys.
