City Auto Body Shop

I took my vehicle into City Auto Body Shop I was directed to see Jeff he was so patient and professional he went out and took a look at my vehicle and gave me a reasonable quote and an itemize listing of what was needed and turn around time it would take to fix my vehicle. The prompt turnaround time was great. Jeff and his staff did a wonderful job to the rear bumper and back panel. Great job Jeff. Thanks again.

They had perfectly fixed my door and ripped off mirror when I ran into a green garbage can that was on the road close to curb. ( did not see the damn garbage can!)

I cannot stress enough that it has been the most awful experience I have ever had with a repair shop. I was never once contacted by the shop throughout the time they were in possession of my vehicle, I initiated every conversation from my end. They originally got the car in late February. I was given a timeline of about 2 weeks for repairs to be completed, and the shop took almost 8 to half-do the repairs on my car. I would call and speak directly with Jeff for updates, and I would consistently receive a different date of completion and status update. For example, I was told the reason that initial repairs were delayed was due to a steering column waiting to be delivered. Jeff told me multiple times that once it was delivered, he would be able to give a more accurate time for pickup. The next solid date that I got from Jeff was around March 24th for pickup. When I called on 3/24 I was told that the car would not be ready for another week. I admit I should've asked more questions when being told this, but given this is my first vehicle that I purchased on my own and first experience with this shop, I wrote it off as par for the course. I called back on 3/31, and was told that the car was not ready again. I was told the car needed to be repainted and test driven. They also said that they were still waiting on a tire to be delivered, which confused me because they had the car for over a month at this point and both wheels were included in the original estimate for repairs from my insurance company. I called again on April 6th, and the car was not ready yet again. I was told the car still needed to be painted, something that had been confirmed to be done the week before. When I took an Uber to work that morning, I saw that my car had been moved for the first and only time since it was dropped off at the body shop. I was given another delay of it being ready on 4/8/2026. I called on Wednesday and my date was pushed back to Friday, as Jeff informed me that something in the car needed to be realigned and they discovered this while test driving it. I finally came on Friday, April 10th, to pick the car up and there were immediate issues. For one, my car key does not unlock my driver's side door anymore. It only unlocks the passenger side and starts the engine. My car battery was also completely dead because the shop let it sit for so long and never started it while it was in their possession. I know for a car the battery was in working condition prior to it being stolen, because I had just gotten it detailed and serviced. They jumped the car and told me that it would charge once I drove it around for 15 minutes. I drove it for 30, and the car battery was still dead. I reached out to them and they got me in contact with Jeff, who stated that he would attempt to go through my insurance to update my claim to get them to replace my battery. He told me that I would just need to tell my insurance company that the battery in my car was not the original battery in it when the car was stolen, which is incorrect. He told me this from his personal number on the evening of April 10th, and that he would reach out with an update the following Monday (yesterday). I write this review without ever being contacted by Jeff or any other representative. During this entire process, I NEVER spoke to the auto shop on a call that they initiated despite the variety of delays. I always had to reach out to them first, to find out the date was delayed for some obscure reason. Because I heard nothing back from the shop, I went without a car all weekend and simply paid for a new battery to be put in the car out of pocket. Whether these delays were caused by insurance, the shop, or some other factor; the root of the issue remains that there was ZERO communication from Jeff or his subordinates throughout this process. Even when I would call for check in’s on the vehicle, Jeff would sometimes tell me he would give me a call with an update in 30 minutes to the next day and I never received a follow up. If you are thinking about using this shop, use another.

This body shop is amazing. I got quotes from other places around ATL for 8k+ to fix a dent in my car. They not only removed the wrap and fixed the area, they also painted it the original color of my car in case I ever want to fully remove the wrap. All for an extremely reasonable price and great turnaround time. I highly recommend this shop and Jeff who was very thorough and communicative. Thank you guys so much again!
