BEAWARE Covered my 67yr old mother engine light.I don’t even think she has but 1 mechanic and he looks like a bum and probably not even certified.Be aware… Long story but need to be said…I come back down because my mother car was having hesitation while accelerating..I come down to find out the the valve cover was leaking super bad I mean bad to where the check engine light was on …So I went ahead and fixed the valve cover gaskets for her check engine light come off but still the hesitation..I didn’t know what else to do so I remembered Dee auto….I called Dee and told her the situation she told me to bring it up to her shop in winter springs Florida ..Once I arrived she put her scanner on and told me if I could leave the car with her so I did..when she called me she told me that it was 2coils that were bad and that it was going to cost $100 each..Ok No problem she was going to call me when she was done…When she called me now she told me that the mechanic told her that now he thinks it’s the fuel injectors after she charged me for the coils ..But she wasn’t for sure that she would call me back .. Again I had to call her 3days after because she didn’t call me back so I left numerous of messages and text and she would finally call back..This time she told me that I had a blown motor ..it took her almost 2 weeks for her to tell me this….So anyways I got a motor from JDM IN ORLANDO FL 30 min away from her shop in winter springs..Dropped the motor off at her shop in winter springs on jun 24th 2025 Tuesday ..I told her that she would have to extend the Vtéch wiring because it’s a motor from Japan and also switj out some sensors because different emissions in Japan..Dee said fine no problem I will call you 3 to 4 days it should be ready..5work days go by no call from Dee so I called and left a message and also text..Finally she calls back and tells me that she still working on the car because she having code Vtech codes also 2oxygen sensor codes..So she would call me when she done .. Ok NO Problem..When I tell you 5more days go by and I have to call her again so could call me and let me l ow what was going on. She told me that the car was ready for pick up.Mined you I already left to come back home and the day that I left My Hydraulic, tensioner, and pulley the work that she just did 20k miles ago and charged me $1900 was down the drain.. Not only did she over charge me but she didn’t even use OEM parts…So now I’m driving back to NYC with this Hydraulic tensioner making loud noise and by the grace of god he got me and my family home safe …So anyways My mother 67yrs old dosent know anything about cars reason I went down to help her out..I told my mother to call me when she gets to Dees shop in winter springs ..So she calls me I get on the phone with Dee and I asked her no check engine lights no codes Dee SAID NO That the car was good ..My mother goes inside to pay $1700 and when she drive down the road she had to turn around because the car was shaken when she accelerates..So she tells Dee and they both go in the car and she says that she feels it but she would have to bring the car back next week on Monday ..My mother agrees and takes it home.. For some reason I had a feeling and I called my mother back and told her to go back in the car and just turn the key onto the on position I told her check engine lights no codes should come on for 2 seconds she told me that there was no light on..So I told her to take the car to AutoZone so the could put the scanner to see if any code pop up sure enough 3codes but no light..She or her so called mechanic disconnected the check engine light . UPDATE,here are the pics showing the light was covered not disconnected.The cars fixed now had to bring it to a real mechanic charged me $150 dollars to get a real mechanic to fix the issue when Dees telling me that it’s the motor because she or her mechanic didn’t know what they were doing.Motor has 65k miles.take accountability.Lawyer will be explaining that it’s fraud to cover a engine light

Dee's Auto Repairs performed repeated improper repairs on my 2019 Ford Mustang EcoBoost vehicle, failed to disclose the true condition of my engine, and misrepresented warranty coverage. This led to my engine's complete failure and the need for a $7,688 replacement at another shop. Chronology of Events:- Oct 2024: Head gasket replacement at Dee's Auto Repairs and disclosed the block was remanned and fine (under warranty). Warranty terms not explained.- Dec 2024: Told something was leaking; later learned it was a cracked valve cover gasket, but this was not disclosed at the time.- Apr 30, 2025: Paid $295 for ignition coil replacement. Misfires returned within a day.- Early May 2025: Shop replaced one fuel injector; misfires returned in less than a day. Shop claimed head gasket failure under warranty but required me to pay for gasket, coolant, and oil ($255 on May 9).- May 2025: Misfires returned again; head gasket replaced a second time in a week. Paid $555 for coolant, gasket, and oil.- May 16, 2025: Fuel economy dropped, idle was rough. Mechanic dismissed concerns.- May 2025: Dee mentioned the block was a bad design and would recommend replacement of the block at some point, however no mention of damage to the block verbalized or written. Engine block design was the mentioned issue as Ford originally designed the 2019 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Engine with a flawed block design. Pep Boys: Paid $430 to replace cracked valve cover gasket that Dee's supposedly repaired under warranty in Dec 2024.- Ford of Clermont: Found crank seal leaks and idle issue from head gasket job. Repair estimate $3,000.- Jul 6, 2025: Dee's kept car two days; then reported bad engine block, warped block, loose pistons.- Jul 8, 2025: First time Dee's disclosed block condition, despite me asking since Apr 2025. No prior quote for engine/block replacement was ever given.- End of Jul 2025: Paid $7,688 at Freedom Tire & Automotive for full engine replacement; problem resolved. Issues:- Repeated failed repairs (two head gaskets in one week, cracked gasket not fixed).- Lack of disclosure about true engine condition until months later.- Misrepresented warranty coverage - charged for parts and fluids on "warranty" repairs without prior notice.- Sloppy invoices missing full repair details.- Car sustained scratches in their possession; no acknowledgment or compensation. This is not a personal grudge review. I trusted this shop and owner along with the technicians/auto shop workers. I would not recommend this shop. In my experiences, I had previous services and repairs being done improperly, inconsistency in workmanship, failure to communicate or keep up with consistent record keeping, warranties not explained properly, and professional accountability not upheld. Ultimately I had to replace my engine and I lost thousands of dollars in car rentals, lost work, and engine replacement/car work.

My family and I have been customers of Dee’s Auto repairs for many years, they are very professional and attentive to detail. Recently, I brought my vehicle to them for service, and they did such a wonderful job on my shifter, brakes and Ac. I’m so happy and highly recommend!!
