Plantation Ford Service

I had a great experience at the Plantation Ford Service Center. The staff was incredibly helpful, professional, patient, and understanding throughout the entire process. They took the time to clearly explain what my vehicle actually needed without trying to upsell unnecessary services, which I truly appreciated. It’s refreshing to find a service center that values honesty and customer care. I will definitely be returning for future service needs!

Their master technician caused my cars systems to fail a few days after I got it back from Service and when I called to complain about it, they said that was a new problem and it wasn’t related but later we found out it was directly related. How was it caused by them? Their master ford tech was not following the technical service bulletin for the Fada change. He took a shortcut and it caused a serious wire harness short that damaged my car later to be found out by another dealership ford master technician that reviewed his work and found and fixed the problem, but the damage was already done to my car. Read on if you want to know the real detail details. They kept my vehicle for a month. I forgot something I had to go to my vehicle to get it out. I had the window down and it was raining in my car. My car was full of water and smelled like a wet dog if I hadn’t checked, who knows what I’ve happened to all those electronics in my car. Then when they finally went to fix it, they fattened up the bill to a ridiculous amount which they knew was gonna cost me double what it should normally and then when Ford offered to help pay for some of it because it had just passed out of warranty I still ended up paying the same amount. After I received the car back, at home I looked it over including under the vehicle at the work, they performed and none of the new ford hardware was installed that they charged us for. They totally lied and scammed. Seriously, they did not install the new hardware under the car. I verified it. The best part was their Ford Master Tech mechanic that did the work caused a short to my cruise control module because he did not follow the Ford technical service bulletin instructions for the front axle disconnect actuator, he cut the wires incorrectly straight off the harness without staggering them and stowing them properly as it clearly says to do. So I had a problem with the new battery and the cruise control module. My transmission shifter dial was frozen and would not go into gear. I went to a different reputable dealer because of these problems and they found out that the problem was the harness (that he cut off incorrectly and taped up with Electrical Tape was causing the wires in the harness to arc and short out! So my brand new battery was damaged because it had high resistance and it was only a year old. It was a three year battery when I took it back under warranty. They couldn’t figure out why the battery was bad. They’ve never seen one come back like that. This explains everything. Then my cruise control module was shorted out and was giving me these crazy faults. So this damage that plantation ford caused cost me $1800 to fix!!! The second Ford dealer had their best master technician T/S and put the new module and it still wasn’t communicating so he went back and looked at the previous work performed by the previous mechanic at Plantation Ford. He found that the problem was the wires were all touching under the electrical tape so it was interfering with the whole can system. So plantation Ford ( our selling dealer three times) they don’t care at all about quality reading or following technical service bulletins from Ford as it seems in this case or they don’t give a crap. And if you go back to what I just wrote in the beginning, they let it rain in my car and it didn’t even seem to care or feel bad about it. I brought it up to the manager’s attention. He didn’t care either

2024 ford f150 with 9k miles. Truck was lowered and damaged wiring harness. The truck was in the shop for 4 months and cost 1900 dollars to repair. The repair lasted 5 days till it rained. There was exposed wires and shorts that were just taped up. Very disappointing and wouldn't recommend this dealership for any repairs. No compensation, just excuses and they still think they fixed it and did a quality job.

This review applies only to the service department. But I would like to shoutout Angel who works in the department. Every time that I have dealt with Angel, he is professional, respectful and helpful. Most importantly, he cares for and works with his clients. He truly cares about customer satisfaction and not just money.
