I took my Volvo S60 in yesterday to have a coolant sensor replaced and Ian and Alan were not just professional, knowledgeable, and extremely fast at getting the job done, they were also genuinely nice guys. It’s such a relief knowing that I have found the mechanics I can trust my car with to have it cared for properly and fairly. It can be a very upsetting experience when your car dies on you. You have to ponder your next step whether it is worth fixing or investing in another vehicle. I was faced with a very hard decision. My car is a 2007 Volvo that has been reliable, for the most part, but again, it's a 2007 vehicle and I knew there were some major issues I would have to face sooner than later. I started looking for a new car, but unfortunately my company is doing layoffs which put me in an unsettling position where I felt I had to look for a reputable repair shop and not put myself in a loan situation where I didn't know If I would have a job and be able to pay back my loan and the potential of it being repossessed. I stumbled upon Maitland Importers Inc. I can honestly say in choosing the shop I was looking for a shop that specialized in my European vehicle and the selling factor for me were the reviews. Yes, the reviews! I contacted the shop and spoke to Ian. He knew EVERYTHING about the make and model of my vehicle and educated me on the engine and the inner workings of it I was extremely impressed and got an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it if the issue was what we spoke about. I already knew there was a problem with the vehicle and even knew what was going to happen if I didn't fix it, but I thought I would wait it out and hopefully be in a better financial situation to get a new car. Not a good choice but nevertheless, I went that route. When I went to pick up the car, Ian showed me all the parts that were replaced, how all the parts he put in works in the car and what went wrong. This man is knowledgeable, straight forward, and incredibly helpful and the person who did a lot of the work Alan, I give him praise too! I had to get the engine replaced, and gosh, almost every part the goes with the engine had to be replaced. A lot of work for sure!! I praise these guys for their approach to the repairs with a breakdown of what every part was going to cost with no bs involved. The last thing that was said to me by Ian was well worth the total experience. He said to me, if anything goes wrong with the car, don't freak out, just bring it in and I'll take care of it for you. So far, so good! I have the peace in knowing they stand by their work and their word. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to your craft. You are truly appreciated! I will be using your services for oil changes and anything I need in the future for my vehicle. If you are searching for a reputable auto repair shop, they are it!!!

I had my AC compressor replaced and was 1/3 of what the dealer was charging. Ian was Great!! Very knowledgeable and did not try and "up-sell" anything I didn't need. My Mini is a 2014 F56 Gen3. It is nice that the phone is always answered by Ian when you call. Highly recommend 👌

Maitland Importers Inc is my permanent mechanic for my Volvo. My car has several miles on it, so I have been coming here multiple times now, and for a fellow Volvo or Mini driver, I would whole heartedly recommend them. They do an excellent job. Today I picked them because they used authentic Volvo parts for my engine’s maintenance. If I had gone to another mechanic, they most likely would have used a generic part. On top of this, the price still came out cheaper than what I was being quoted by a different general mechanic in the area. Another small thing I enjoy is how thorough Ian is at his job. He took the time to walk with me outside to show me an aspect of the repair. A small piece of brittle plastic had fallen off, and he showed me how it comes into play within the greater system. He then proceeded to fix it himself and showed me how that was accomplished. I don’t know much about cars but I appreciate someone walking me through a concept and also answering any questions I had. Overall, I trust Maitland Importers Inc. and I would highly recommend them if you are considering taking your car there.
