I like to give honest reviews, and at first this mechanic seemed very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. They have strong customer service skills and know how to communicate confidently, which initially made me trust their judgment. However, after gaining more experience and speaking with other mechanics, I started to realize there is a difference between someone who strictly follows diagnostic codes and someone who truly understands how to diagnose vehicles beyond the surface level. A code is not always the exact problem. It is often a reference point that tells you where to begin looking. For example, if you tell a doctor you do not feel well, that does not automatically tell them the exact issue. If you say your stomach hurts, that simply gives them an area to investigate further. Cars work similarly. Sometimes another issue is triggering the code, and a good mechanic understands how to investigate the root cause instead of immediately replacing everything connected to that code. Another thing I learned while mechanic shopping is that a real mechanic also understands the human side of car ownership. Most people cannot afford to spend thousands of dollars all at once. A trustworthy mechanic prioritizes repairs realistically, explains what is urgent, what can wait, and helps you stay safely on the road while working within your budget. In my experience here, I personally did not feel that approach. Do I recommend this mechanic? In my opinion, no. But everyone is free to make their own assessment and experience.

I was having some issues with my 2007 Honda CR-V which were persistent. I had not been satisfied with the service I was getting elsewhere. An online search led me to Tony's and I swung by there one day to check it out. Tony, even though they were pretty busy at the time, took my car and checked it out. Within the hour certain problems were identified and I made an appointment to bring it back the following week. Once they had it up on the lift they picked up on a couple of additional issues and texted me a video. Eventually all of the issues with my vehicle were resolved at a reasonable price. Even more importantly from day one I was treated like a long time customer. Their knowledge of vehicle systems is extensive. Their customer service is excellent. I was made to feel like a member of the family. I would be remiss not to mention Jackie at the front desk! She would recognize me immediately and remember my name. She is a young woman with a great personality, dedicated to her job, knowledgeable, helpful, and can move between English and Spanish with incredible fluency. I would give her a BIG RAISE! The services to my vehicle included AC, Fuel System, Suspension, Mechanical, Engine Cooling, and General Maintenance. My 20 year old Honda which I purchased in the fall of 2006 has over 182,000 miles on it. Tony's going forward is my place for vehicle service. They stand by their work and are relentless in finding a problem and correcting it to your satisfaction.

Had an oil change done recently, and the service was phenomenal. They did a courtesy estimate for me and found all the things wrong with my vehicle. Jackie was extremely knowledgeable, professional yet very familiar. Its a rarity to see people who love what they do and you can see how they operate and conduct business. They have earned my business and I'm sure they will earn yours

I read all the glowing reviews and was ready to give this shop a try at fixing the AC system on my car. Upon arriving and describing the hot AC system operation, I was told that the cost to provide an estimate would be $180 non-refundable (could be credited towards repairs). I would have paid $30 or even $50 (free would be better), but that non-refundable $180 estimate fee was a Non-Starter. I fully respect their time and expertise and they can charge whatever they want, but that's not for me. I took it down the road to the dedicated auto-AC place on 32nd & 8th St. They looked at it for free and gave a quote, which was approved and they had the car fixed the same day. I don't know if Tony's price would have been higher or lower, but I did not like the feeling when I left their shop. I was hoping I had found my forever mechanics that I could happily recommend, but I am still looking.
