I paid $300 for a trailer tire that I was told was “brand new.” After the install, I checked the DOT code on the tire and found it was manufactured in 2013 — making it over 10 years old. That is not a new tire by any reasonable standard, and more importantly, it’s not safe. Trailer tires degrade over time regardless of tread, and selling something this old as “new” is misleading. I confirmed this with another tire shop, and they also advised that a tire this age should not be used. I’m very disappointed in the lack of transparency. I would not recommend this business based on this experience. Buyers should double-check DOT dates before accepting any tires from here.
