Devonaire Service and Tire

I had an excellent experience at Devon Aire! The service was incredibly fast and professional. They fixed my flat tire right away (“me cogieron el ponche a la goma”) without any hassle. The staff was efficient, friendly, and knew exactly what they were doing. I highly recommend them if you need quick and reliable services.

Alexander was really nice and super helpful. He checked out my tires, explained everything clearly, and didn’t try to upsell anything I didn’t need. The service was quick, the pricing was amazing, and the whole experience felt honest and straightforward. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to others!!

I searched for a reputable mechanic for German cars and found this gem. The job was done to manufacturer specifications. Alexander and his team were truthful and polite. They also saved me some money when I performed my own cost comparison to other independent mechanics. I had an oil leak with a simple fix, and a ABS sensor replacement. Second to none. I have been coming to this same shop for the past 3 yeas. I was recently at Alexander’s shop since I had to change one of my tires because it was in really bad condition. I did not check all tires before getting to his shop but he did and noticed one of my back tires super worn as well, and advised I should also replace. I was worried about the cost but he gave me a great deal 2 brand new tires, balance and mounted for $350. I have been driving with my undercarriage scraping the floor making a loud and annoying sound. When he was putting back on my tires I asked him if he can help with that, and very generously said don’t worry I will take care off it for you no extra charge. When I was leaving I turned my car on and he noticed a noise on my engine and said turn the car off. He checked my oil in my car and noticed it was extremely low which will cause engine problems. He went ahead and added enough oil so I can get anywhere else I do my own oil and still did not charge me nothing additional. Furthermore I was waiting with an elderly lady which he was working on her car as well, and her car came out before mine and for the service he provided he kindly told her it’s ok just drive safe and he did not charge her. I left that day only paying $350, but with a great experience. His great attention to detail and great customer service and how amicable he is to his customers makes you want to go back when you have issues with your car. One last thing before leaving I asked him why did you not charge the elderly lady he answered “She has been a customer and loyal customer for a long time, you need to give back when you can”. So to conclude thank you Alex and sorry took so long to post, but I remember everything, thanks again.

I have purchased the tires for my vehicle at Devonaire for the last three replacements. On the most recent occasion, which was last year, I bought the same brand as always—Continental. At that time, Alexander assured me that the purchase included tire rotation services as well as flat tire repairs, all at no additional cost. Recently, when it was time for a tire rotation, I returned to the shop and decided to also request an oil change. During this visit, Alexander attempted to sell me various additives totaling over $350, which I declined. He also mentioned that, according to the system’s records, my car needed brake service—even though he hadn’t taken the time to inspect the brakes himself. I told him that the brakes had been serviced just a few months ago at another shop. He then claimed the air filter was “extremely dirty” and needed replacing. Although this surprised me, since it had been changed recently, I agreed to the replacement since it was only $47. When he showed me the old and new filters for comparison, I noticed the one in my car wasn’t that dirty, but I went ahead with the change—especially after he mentioned the shop was struggling and had very few customers. However, after the tire rotation, the brake light and the traction control light came on in the dashboard. I suspected that during the rotation, a sensor might have been moved or disconnected, or perhaps the lights simply needed to be reset via the car’s computer. I’m not a mechanic, but I consulted a neighbor who is, and he confirmed that what I suspected was possible. I decided to return to the shop to have the tires checked, thinking it might have been a human error during the rotation. To my surprise, Alexander became extremely defensive and refused to inspect the tires, insisting instead that the problem was due to low brake fluid. I told him I would feel more at ease if he simply removed the tires and checked them before reinstalling them—especially since, as he had previously stated, tire rotations were included in the $1,200+ I had paid for the tires. Furthermore, human error is always a possibility. Still, he refused and behaved in an unprofessional and rude manner. Now I understand why the business is losing customers. The waiting room is no longer open because the air conditioning is no longer working. A shop that used to be busy is now clearly in decline. If this is how he treats the few clients who still choose to place their trust in his services, it’s clear that the so-called "guarantees" he offers are meaningless. If he was truly confident that the warning lights had nothing to do with poor tire installation during the rotation, he shouldn’t have had any issue double-checking. I do not recommend this shop. If you value your vehicle and expect ethical, professional service, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Under Alexander’s management, Devonaire Tires lacks professionalism, customer care, and integrity.
