I brought my vehicle from a private seller, and unfortunately, it wouldn't start two days later. Initially, I took it to a mechanic who seemed to be accumulating charges before even inspecting the car. It was a Saturday afternoon when I decided to contact Mike's Great Bear Auto, and he kindly waited for me to bring my vehicle in. He and his wife were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. Mike was quick and efficient with the repairs and charged a very fair and reasonable price. Thank you, Mike! You will be my car's mechanic from now on!

As a newbie to Hollywood FL, I was looking for “my trustworthy local mechanic”. Because I am a AAA member, my old shop in NH recommended I look for another AAA shop in Hollywood. Mikes Great Bear was a great choice. Just had my first oil change there, and in addition to the oil change, they performed a mini inspection, to be sure everything was in perfect working order, after the long drive from NH. I appreciated the efficiency, thoroughness, and welcoming attitude. I have found my trustworthy auto repair shop. Than you Mike!

I strongly recommend not to use this shop. I dropped off a part to be repaired which according to the shop manager would take few hours to do. I dropped it off and called to pick but not ready. Called next day and not ready, called next day and the person answering the phone did not have an idea on what was done on the part but suggested the reason for the delay. Senseless. They took the part to other mechanics because they could not repair what they claimed initially it could be done. Other shops could not fix it and they had no idea what to do. 4 days after they still could not fix the part and gave me all sorts of justifications. At a loss and without my vehicle for over 5 days, i gave up on their trust and picked up the part for a true mechanic to do what they failed to do. Not only the part was not repaired, they kept a spare part I dropped off for them to install it. I still cannot drive my vehicle and they washed their hands. Moreover, I had to pay $200 for fixing nothing! Now back to square one to get a true mechanic to fix the problem but now I'm afraid that they may have damaged the part they were supposed to repair. I hope and pray that they did not cause further damage. Please stay away from this shop and do not even rely on what you are told over the phone. A decade of experience they claim to have in the business but they failed with me on the first time and certainly last. If they new better, the should not taken the job or even charge me for nothing. I guess that they need the money. Very disappointed.
