Be very wary of this mechanic, They are dishonest and extremely shady. While the prices are low you are also paying for the same level of transparency. I had gone to take my car to have the starter replaced and we had agreed on a set price to put the part in i had provided him with a part that was given to me by volkswagen directly that would be compatible with my car, we agreed on 150$ for the labor. Ishmael had called me and said that the part that was given to me by the volkswagen store for my car was incorrect, he said he would try to get it exchanged and asked for the person who bought the parts information to have it looked at. I did not hear from him for over 2 hours. He then called me and said that he had bought a new part and installed it in my car. I had not authorized him to buy any new parts so when he told me the price was now from 150$ to 498$ i was caught off guard. I basically told myself i would bite the bullet and pay the cost because i needed the new starter. The issue began when i had asked him for the receipt of the part as i had no idea what he put in my car and i needed it for warranty. He refused and said that he was my warranty, this is completely unacceptable and anyone who has had any work done on their car with replacements know you always need a part receipt in case something happens and you need to get the insurance involved or the OEM factory. I tried to calmly explain that i needed that receipt for my record purposes and if i did not get it i would need to have the part removed because he did not ask me if he could buy a part and install it in my car as i had only gone there to have the part i brought in installed, Ishmael then said that because i was making him due double the work he would charge me 200$ for labor, to me this was unnacceptable as NO LABOR had been done, i had requested to instead pay a diagnostics fee as all he had done was remove the cover and saw that the part that volkswagen had given me was "wrong" he said no and would not turn in my car to me, i had to get the sheriffs involved and unfortunately because it had not yet become a criminal matter we had to settle it between us, Ishmael lied to the police officers and told them that he did not say he would make me pay an extra 50$ and then said he told me 180 + Tax, which without doing any of the math just said 192$. He wouldn't accept a debit card and instead said to send him the money through wire, Ishmael gave me a phone number, i confirmed the name on the account that was Jennifer Kallos with him and sent him the 192 as i just wanted to get my car and get out of the swindlers garage, he then continously claimed that he did not get the money and that he did not have a paypal account , i showed him the receipt and he still would not give me the car, i showed the sheriffs and they tried to explain to him i had sent him the money but he still did not give the keys to us, so to not cause a bigger headache the sheriffs asked me if i could just send it through zelle and open a claim with my bank for the first charge. I assume most of the 5* reviews are friends but please take this as a warning, do not let him rob you, i am posting this to warn people so they don't have to get extorted like i was, and i hope that anyone who has had a negative experience with him will also post so that people can be more aware.

The absolute best! Been going to Ishmael since 2020. Always finds time to take care of me. He never makes me do unnecessary repairs. He is the mechanic everyone is looking for!

I was there for a change of brake pads and rotors and Ishmael took it down very quickly for a reasonable price. He also did a couple of checks I asked him for. I liked the way the whole work was done. Thanks Sr.
