I had a coupon for a free oil change when I was a student at a local college back in 2023. I went in for an oil change with my V6 Mustang on May 4th 2023, that I had purchased and outright owned the title to for over 2 months, and had no issues with; I had every service and maintenance record on the car and knew exactly what needed to be done/changed and when. After the oil change, they mentioned that they also “flushed and topped off my coolant”, which I thought was odd at the time, and was right to think so. A couple of hours later on the same day, my engine was smoking and my thermostat was indicating that my engine was overheating. Because of some rookie car mechanic and poor business practice, I ended up having to change the entire thermostat and housing. “Free oil change” cost me way more than it was worth and I would never go back or trust these guys if you mess up a simple oil change.

They got the job done but as all mechanic shops do, they beat around the bush. Had to go here because I had a flat and had key locks stuck on my rims. Charged me $20 per rim to remove and left me with no new lugs - crazy. Missing a lug nut on each rim after paying $80 to take them off. Not to mention, I purchased 4 new tires through them and they charged me the installation fee. Totaled over 1k this day. If you buy tires through a shop, they typically do not charge you for them to install them and also offer free rotations. Not this shop! $37 per tire. Wouldn’t buy tires here again

View on GoogleFloor manager, Steve once more, treated me with great respect. This is my second visit to Kovac Automotive shop in Davie Fl. This time I brought my wife's Honda Accord for an alignment. Steve and the mechanic team took care of my wife's car. Steve shared with me on paper the results of the alignment. The Accord 4 tires definitely needed to be aligned. I was once again so pleased that Steve did not try to push any other services that were unnecessary. This way of doing business speaks volumes of how this shop operates. Honestly and integrity is what I have witnessed the two times that I have been there. Even though my wife and I have a personal mechanic that looks after our 2 vicheles, Kovac Automotive shop is our new place to have minor repairs done on our vicheles. Unfortunately, I can not say that about other shops that I have visited in Broward County Fl. I must confess. I spoke to a few clients today that were waiting for their vicheles to be worked on. To my wonderful great surprise, 100% felt that this is one of the few Automotive shops that treats their customers with respect and do not try to nickel and dime them. Kudos to Kovac Automotive shop.
