I cannot recommend them enough. Great service, fair pricing, and honesty (which is priceless in this business). After getting what seemed like an outrageous quote/recommendation (~$2400) for some steering/suspension repairs & general maintenance (coolant & transmission) from another mechanic, I called and got a quote from these guys who came in $1,000 less! After inspecting the car, they couldn't reproduce the noise or find anything wrong with the steering/suspension and didn't recommend proceeding with any of the costly repairs. Brian was extremely helpful and took the time to explain everything. Claremont Auto's price for the Coolant and Transmission Fluid services were less than half the other shops'! I will be bringing my cars here from now on and will recommend everyone else do the same.

I have been taking my car here for years. I can shears trust this guys to be honest and look out for my best interest. The owner Mike is a great person and cares about his customers. Jeff and Brian are good people too. You never have to worry about getting ripped off here. I promise!

I went to these guys in a pinch. (Not my usual mechanic). My alternator went out, I requested coolant and breaks to be checked as well. Guy at the front desk seems pretty cool, he called me the next day “yeah your alternator, a battery and the coolant will be a little over $1,100. Your breaks were checked, they’re fine, you can get those done another time”. Alright cool, they were prompt quick and seemed honest over the phone. But I told the guy right then and there “hey, no battery, I can buy my own” the battery he was quoting me was like $250. I can get one at Costco for $140 with a longer warranty. Guy affirmed my request over the phone “yeah that’s fine!” I come in a day later (their service is prompt which is great) but now a different guy is there at the front desk to ring me out and gives me a bill for $1100. I told him “hey man, on the phone I requested no battery, I brought my own” he kind of blew it off saying “yeah, there’s no battery on there” and pointed at my bill. I don’t like haggling at the counter over stuff I requested already and it definitely seemed like this guy was just trying to move me out of there. Reviewing the bill doesn’t really add up either because the battery isn’t listed on the itemized summary, it says I even approved the cost at $907 ON the bill. Yet I was charged $1100, and I checked and there is a new battery in there. (Which they are obviously not giving to me for free). Luckily Costco will refund me completely, that’s not entirely bad. I just can’t see myself coming back to a place that doesn’t respect simple requests, and then blatantly says something that is clearly false. Just because the battery isn’t itemized on my bill, doesn’t mean I wasn’t charged for it. So beware, those are the tactics here.

I was able to get a next day appointment, which was great. I was referred here by a friend so it was my first time going here so it's always a little hard not knowing if you're in good hands. I needed all brakes replaced and two new rotors, this I knew (most woman don't and can get "upsold") so they didn't try to throw in something I didn't need. Overall, I'm happy with the service!
