LAX Transmissions

I hired LAX Transmissions to diagnose and repair transmission issues on my 2014 Lexus GS350 on approximately 03/27/2026. They agreed to inspect and repair the transmission system for a fee of $650. I additionally had spent $74 on Lexus safe full synthetic transmission fluid at an Autozone 2 minutes away from the LAX Transmissions, I had spent the additional fee for the full synthetic due to LAX Transmissions being adamant to refill my transmission with the improper or non full synthetic transmission fluid. LAX Transmissions stated the shop does not stock full synthetic transmission fluid. As I waited for the repairs to be made a gentleman arrived in a white RV, yelling aloud stating that his transmission is having issues after LAX Transmissions worked on the gentleman’s vehicle, LAX Transmissions told the man that no spots are available and staff are busy advising him to bring his vehicle back another time and quickly dismissed the customer . Before I received my car, LAX Transmissions informed me that my car was driven by an employee for 30 minutes after repairs were made. Stating my transmission was driving good it just had symptoms for solenoids or valve body. After their work, my vehicle developed new transmission problems including [leak / delayed reverse engagement / shifting issues]. These issues were not present or were significantly worse immediately after their service. LAX Transmissions also informed me that the shop had no prior or current experience working on the type of vehicle I brought. I contacted LAX Transmissions multiple times to report the issue. They either delayed, failed to properly diagnose the problem, or stated they were waiting on management without resolution. The vehicle is now damaged and not operating properly due to the work performed. Due to my complaints LAX Transmissions stated my transmission needs a rebuild. LAX Transmissions now trying to charge a total of $2800 for the services of repair for initial damages caused after services. Please stay away from this shop, don’t spend money at this place to turn your experience into a nightmare.

It’s Always really hard to find a good trusting mechanic. My neighbor Recommended this place! ask for Juan,He installed New injectors and sparkplugs on my 2004 honda accord. He is very honest and takes pride in his shop he Even cleaned out my motor and made it look brand new. I would highly recommend this place if your car needs any services. I brought him also my mothers car that needed a new powersteering pump and he had it done in record time. My mother was also very impressed. Come check him out!!! 👍🏾

I was worried the car that had gotten me through the last 12 years was on it's last leg until I brought it in. I was impressed how they were immediately able to identify that it was the clutch rather than the whole transmission as I had feared. I really appreciated how transparent the process was and how I was given options for what I wanted to take care of rather than being sold on a more expensive option. The staff was really friendly and communicative and honest about the scope of work. My car is back on the road and running better than it has in years. I'm referring all my friends here from now on!
