Luis Transmission

Luis did a good job replacing the solenoid pack, I bought the solenoid pack, oil transmission and a new filter. However, after it was done another code showed up P1745 and his scanner couldn’t clear the VLP counters. I asked him if he knows anybody that could do it and he said he didn’t. I paid for the service even though it wasn’t a complete service. VLP is something SO SO SIMPLE to clear it but he kept telling me it was a transmission problem (it wasn’t. I felt he was looking for more work and more money). I took my car to another transmission auto repair in Cypress and the guy did it and 5 minutes and my problem was solved. Just a heads up Luis does not have a OBD2 scanner if you need. Good price and it was done in a day. I see you replied to my review. You worked on my dodge journey 2015 on Oct 28th 2025. I know you remember me cuz I was there with you trying to clean the code for a few hours after you were done replacing the solenoid pack. I didn’t say anything bad you did a good job in a day but the fact that you’re a transmission place you should have a OBD2 scanner or newer and the cleaning the code was part of replacing the solenoid pack. Very reasonable, knowledgeable, hard-working, great job, four-wheel-drive, pick up truck, Shift great they rebuilt the transmission. I brought my 2000 Dodge pick up four-wheel-drive version eight engine automatic transmission to them to rebuild a transmission. I brought it to them on Monday and it was ready on Friday. They did a complete rebuild all new solenoids all new bands everything

My dad’s been coming to Louis for about 20 years now Louis Senior and I remember his son working in his shop with him years and years and years back Louis Junior well now the day has come that Louis Junior is running Lewis transmission And man can I say he holds the same standard his old man holds Excellence took my Chevy Silverado there stressed out because I couldn’t make it to work. Louis Junior turned around my truck in just a couple days. had me back on the road I didn’t even have full payment at the time and Junior still let me take my truck because I had to get to work. I don’t know too many other shops out there that have hearts outside of work. My trucks running perfect And I’m able to make it back to work to get more money coming in can’t thank him enough Him and his dad are the best shops for transmission. That’s all they specialize in if You need your transmission fixed stop looking for other shops and come here. Also they quoted me half the price is what other shops quoted me. Very satisfied customer! I take my vehicles to a shop just across the parking lot from Luis Transmission so when my vehicle started having transmission problems it was only natural to go over there and check them out and am I glad I did. Not only was Luis Jr very respectful and genuine his prices were also unbeatable. They swapped out a transmission for me in less than 2 days which is unheard of! Also he continued to follow up with me after the install to be sure I was a satisfied customer. Overall great local transmission shop. Very happy with my service. I came in for a new transmission, after the change the car was still a bit off and Luis did all he can to figure out the issue, even called in different people to help. In the end, called to make sure the car was working properly. Definitely recommend.
