I had always taken my car to the Toyota dealer service center in Dublin. They performed excellent work, but it was distant. I was not impressed with Berkeley Toyota service and was looking for a quality service center for my vehicle that was local to Albany where I live. I saw that Dana Meyer had a long history in Albany and had high rating amongst it's customers. I decided to give it a try. I had an oil change to begin with. I was advised that the tires and struts were due for replacement. There was no pressure put to me to have this work done. They explained the issues and showed pictures. I ended up having the tires and struts replaced. They did the work in the time frame agreed upon, and were friendly and helpful at the reception area. I looked at the work performed and the quality was top notch. They were even able to bring the price down a bit on some items. I will be returning to have my vehicle serviced at Dana Meyer.

Excellent auto repair shop with outstanding customer service and highly qualified professionals. One major standout is the detailed photo inspection report they provide — it makes a huge difference in clearly understanding the actual condition of the vehicle and helps visualize services that were not originally planned but may need attention. The transparency is excellent: you can review each item and choose whether or not to approve additional services, with no pressure at all. Everything is clearly explained, which builds a lot of trust. Great communication, professional staff, and a strong sense of honesty and expertise. Bring your car here first! I brought my ten yr old Honda CRV in today to replace my starter. Unfortunately, I also learned that the wheel bearings for one of my wheels needed replacing as well, and that my brakes were about due to be replaced, (but they explained that I had a couple of months of runway, if I needed to consider costs,). Two other mechanics from different shops told me they couldn’t find the source of the rumble that Dana Meyer technicians did. The technicians did a great job of explaining what was going on with my car and why, what levels of priority each service was that was needed, what the costs were going to be before charging me, and what my other options were. They advised me in a way that felt informative, which is not something I always get with mechanics, as a woman. I highly recommend Dana Meyer Auto Care for all of your car’s needs, and for service with genuine care. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

I will share two or so experiences I have had with Dana Meyer Auto Care. Ok, first, I needed a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle so I went with some mobile mechanic website, which was not working. So I found Dana Meyer just down the street from where I bought the truck. The online appointment page was so easy, almost too easy, and they promptly confirmed the appointment. They sent email/text reminders the day before and of the appointment. I dropped it off and went for a bumble around albany while it was being looked at. It was a rather enjoyable stroll too. Anyways, when I returned I at first met with Dylan, super friendly and professional, then Chad, who inspected the truck and he went over every thing in such detail, pictures, even a video or two. This dude seemed really into fixing trucks/cars, I liked him right away. Dylan had to split, so a fella Named Noel (I think) was handed the reigns and without missing a beat continued answering my questions, and all that, super cool, and upbeat. What I must remark on is the sense of teamwork here; it was tangible. Good vibe all around, very impressed! That says a lot about the place, and it was like that on visit number two as well. Second experience was just as good, and further impressed. I bought the truck, and it needed a few things, so I booked an appointment to get the brakes and an oil leak checked out. I was sent updates throughout the day with pictures and a video with the mechanic actually recording himself telling me what he thinks might be the problem. Wow. I have never experienced this before, maybe other shops do this? Idk, but these guys do. When I went to pick up my truck, Dylan spent a ton of time helping understand some things about this truck, tire sizes, gear ratios, and so on. From here on out, if one of my vehicles need repairs, I'm taking it here, hands down. These folks are professional, courteous, patient, and friendly. The communication is outstanding!
