Call ahead of time to book an inspection. I also tried asking how much an inspection was and they were not transparent about pricing. Their response to that was to bring it in and if it doesn’t need to be looked at electronically it’s no charge, when I asked about if it doesn’t they did not give me an upfront answer. They just said to come in at 2 PM over the phone to have it looked at and we can go from there. While on the phone with them, they ask me several questions (which I assume is already on file when I show up) to see what is wrong. I show up at my scheduled time to have an inspection, once I get inside the waiting room is empty. Someone at the desk asks what I’m there for- tell them I have an appointment, at first they couldn’t find it, then it’s found under a completely different first and last name and I almost miss it because it was entered incorrectly. After finding it, they said it’s going to be an additional 2 HOUR WAIT for them to even look at my vehicle. I don’t live in the area, and I had other events going on. It was a major inconvenience to drive out of my area just to give a local business a chance. I am not sure about the quality of work, but based off this first interaction, I will not be returning nor recommending.

After having a such a good experience my first drop in visit, I called just a couple of days later to schedule to have my brakes done. I’m happy to have found such a good place to take my car. Freddy is such a pleasure to work with and talk to. He’s very knowledgeable! The mechanics at this location are great!

View on GoogleJust had my first experience with Sun Devil Auto after being referred by a co- worker. Wished so bad that I would have gone there first instead of the Toyota Service Center who charged me $190 just to diagnose the problem when I didn’t choose to have the repair done there. Sun Devil would have done the full air conditioning check and diagnosis at no charge. Freddy was truly a gem to deal with—- he was up front and honest with the quote and true to his word. The appt was made and the repair was completed that day. These guys are very professional and customer service oriented and the car’s air conditioning is working full-blast in time for the hot AZ months. I highly recommend Sun Devil Auto if you need any vehicle repair.
View on GoogleHad a raw fuel smell coming from gas tank area, brought vehicle in without appointment early am. Diagnosis done by midday and new fuel pump installed by end of day. Chris and the staff are personable and knowledgeable, have never had issues with this team in 13 years of service being provided on multiple vehicles. Great warranty, and they don’t upsell to grab a few extra bucks, but advise what should be done and what can be deferred. Our “go to” team of mechanics and technicians. Highly recommended.
