10/10 service and knowledge. I usually work on all my cars and don't trust anyone, but Mendoza auto went above and beyond for me when I brought my car in. They did a great job with diagnosing my AC issue and found some other things wrong with my car that I didn't have a chance to discover yet. They were super honest with all the repairs and did an amazing job. I recently had to replace the starter on my car as it was making a grinding/spinning noise when I would start up the car. The mechanic I had at the time told me I needed to replace the starter. Three weeks into having the “new starter” installed, the same grinding/spinning noise came back. I also noticed that my car didn’t have that smooth start up that it once had. I went back to my former mechanic and he told me sometimes the parts can be bad so he exchanged it and put in “another new one.” By this time, I told my former mechanic that I had come across online Honda’s Technical Service Bulletin (“TSB”) that said when changing out the starter you MUST implement the TSB they issued for my car. My former mechanic dismissed what I said. After installing the second “new starter”, my car still wasn’t operating properly. At this point I decided to call Efren. I told Efren what my former mechanic had done and mentioned Honda’s TSB that I came across online. Efren found the TSB via the technology he has available to him and already knew what I was talking about. The very next day I took my car to Efren and he showed me that the second “new starter” that my former mechanic had put in, was actually a remanufactured starter. The sticker on the starter actually said “Remanufactured.” Furthermore, Efren told me that the remanufactured starter still wasn’t the right type of starter that was needed for my car as there had been two updates to the starters that were initially made and put on the market for my car. Honda was aware that those initial starters that were out on the market continued to give problems to Honda owners, which is why they issued updates to the starters and is also the reason why they issued the TSB. Thank goodness Efren was able to resolve my car issue by putting in the right/updated version of the starter manufactured for my vehicle, plus do the TSB. My car is now running the way it's supposed to! I asked Efren to do an overall inspection of my car to see what else needed to be done. He put a short list together and even put them in the order I should address them as some of them did not need to be addressed immediately. I know this is a bit of a long review; however, I want to stress the importance of the work that Efren did on my car. His professionalism, experience, as well as his ability to have access to the technology to properly diagnose your car and make sure things are done right carry much value to me and all of his existing customers. I also appreciate Efren’s work ethic, as well as the quality and thoroughness of his work. He takes time to explain the issue(s), gives you options and then lets you make the decision that is best for you. Your car is a big investment and you want to take care of your car so that it lasts a long time. If you are looking for a mechanic who is good at what he does, is trustworthy, honest and will take care of your car as if it was his own, I highly recommend you go to Efren! You won’t regret it!

I was referred to Efren because the AC in my Crv was acting up. He quickly assessed the issue and gave me an estimate which was very fair! He was able to fix my car the same day the part arrived and explained what happened. I really appreciated that as a woman.
