I took my Ford Edge in for A/C service. And to have the fuel canister replaced. When I got home I realized that my engine cover was missing. I called multiple times before someone finally returned my call. They then, informed me that they threw it away. And stated it was broken. When I know without a doubt that it was not broken. Explained to me that I do not need it because it keeps the heat in and is bad for the engine. Come to find out that, that is exactly what it is supposed to do and is a necessary part for my vehicle. I was referred to them by a close friend and thought id finally found a place that would not take advantage of women who do not know much about cars. So, I would definitely NOT recommend Desert Winds Automotive to anyone. And will continue to spread the word about my experience.

Bought a new transmission for my 2017 Silverado, from a company in the midwest. They recommended this shop as one that was close to me. They were much less than many other places and these guys did a great job. They were fast, very friendly and of course did a great job. I have other vehicles I'm going to be bringing to them. But as someone who's seen many mechanics that overcharged and did a bad job, I'm glad to say that I highly recommend for several reasons.

View on GoogleThis is the best shop around. There is a good reason it has 5 stars. Bruce is an amazing mechanic and a good and honest man. My family has been taking our cars to him for 20 years now and he is always fair and honest with us. He's never going to over charge you, scam you or make you feel like you're stupid. Any time my car has an issue he takes the time to explain to me what went wrong, why it went wrong, and how we can fix it.
